Gina Lende

Gina Lende is a senior adviser with NOREF's Global programme. She holds a PhD in Religious Studies, and a Master in Middle East- and Latin American studies. Gina has worked as an associate professor at the MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society (MF) as well as a senior advisor and researcher at the Peace Research Institute in Oslo (PRIO). Her research and teaching has a focus on contemporary religious movements, politics, conflict and peace building. Throughout her career she has combined an academic interest with engagement in peace building and dialogue. She is the founding Director of the PRIO Cyprus Centre, a research and dialogue center located in Nicosia. Since 2009 she has worked extensively on West Africa, through research, but also as a partner to peace building projects.
