Christian Visnes

Christian Visnes is Head of NOREF's Global Programme. He has 20 years of experience in the humanitarian, human rights and development sectors, working in management, coordination, protection and gender equality, among others, in some of the world’s most challenging environments. Christian comes from serving as Head of Operations for protection and gender at NORCAP the Norwegian Refugee Council. His background includes leadership roles in the field and HQ with the UN, Norwegian Church Aid and Norwegian Red Cross where he has managed complex operations across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. He holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology and Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and studied Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen.
