Alexander Buchmann

Alexander Buchmann is a Senior Adviser in the Global Programme. Prior to joining NOREF, Alexander worked ten years with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), mainly as an Emergency Coordinator or Country Director. During his time with MSF Alexander did over 20 field assignments, maintaining a special focus on contexts of war and conflict. His experience spans work in countries like Mali, South Sudan, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Pakistan, DRC, Niger, Ukraine, Madagascar and the Philippines amongst others. More recently he held the position of Director of Field Human Resources for MSF’s US office in New York.
