Reinoud Leenders

Reinoud Leenders is an assistant professor in political science at the University of Amsterdam. He was formerly Middle East analyst for the International Crisis Group based in Beirut (2002-2005). He recently authored Spoils of Truce: Corruption and State-building in Postwar Lebanon? (Cornell University Press, 2012) and edited, with Steven Heydemann, Comparing Authoritarianisms: Reconfiguring Power and Regime Resilience in Syria and Iran (Stanford University Press, 2012).
