Jorge Orlando Melo

Jorge Orlando Melo is dean of the School of Social Sciences of the Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. He taught history at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, the Universidad de los Andes and Duke University. He was also a Colombian presidential adviser on human rights (1990-92) and on Medellín (1992-94), and director of the Luis Ángel Arango Library (1994-2005).
