The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed Tellef Thorleifsson as Chair of the NOREF Board. In addition, Louise Dedichen and Ingrid Vik are appointed as new Board members.
NOREF is pleased to welcome the new Chair and Board members and extends its sincere thanks to the outgoing members, Kristin Lund and Kate Hansen Bundt, for their dedication and valuable contributions to the organisation over the years.
Tellef Thorleifsson recently stepped down as CEO of Norfund. He brings significant leadership and institution-building experience from international development, development finance and engagement in complex environments.

His background in governance, organisational development and international partnerships will be highly relevant as NOREF continues to strengthen its role as an independent actor supporting dialogue, conflict resolution and conflict diplomacy, in a rapidly changing global environment», says NOREF Director Johan Vibe.
Thorleifsson replaces outgoing Chair Kim Traavik, and Vibe also thanks Traavik for his leadership and commitment:
“Kim Traavik has led the Board with insight and steadfast commitment during a particularly demanding period in international affairs. In a time marked by growing geopolitical tensions and an increasingly challenging environment for conflict resolution and diplomacy, his guidance has been invaluable to NOREF. I would like to extend my sincere thanks for his contribution to the organisation.”
