New report: Women and the gender approach in the Colombian peace process

The Colombian peace agreement signed in September 2016 was by far the most gender inclusive peace agreement in history. Norwegian facilitators Hilde Salvesen and Dag Nylander share firsthand accounts and analysis of how the historic peace agreement came to be.

Salvesen and Nylander were both central in the Norwegian facilitation of the peace process in Colombia. While Nylander was the Norwegian Special Envoy to the peace process, Salvesen had a special responsibility in the area of Women, Peace and Security. In a new NOREF report they share firsthand accounts and analysis of how the historic peace agreement came to be. The experiences from Colombia offer valuable insights for other peace processes on opportunities and challenges regarding inclusion.
