The political economy of transitions: analysis for change. Executive summary

26 March 2013

UNDP Oslo Governance Centre (OGC) and the Norwegian Peacebuilding Resource Centre (NOREF) jointly organised a conference on the political economy of democratic transitions with a focus on understanding models, policies and processes underpinning political transition, economic transformation and the renegotiation of the social contract. Its purpose was to stimulate dialogue between practitioners, academia and policy makers on key issues related to recent and ongoing transitions, and to inform the policy advice provided by civil society and international actors on the ground. This is the Executive Summary.
